How long have you been with AJ InterBridge Inc.?
I joined in March 2019, so I am coming up on a full seven years now!
Can you tell us about your current role and work?
I work part-time, around three days a week, generally between 9am and 5pm. Since joining, my work has been centered on HR, labor management, and general administration. That covers quite a range: recruitment, payroll, social insurance and tax procedures, attendance management, and drafting employment policies, among other things.

How do you manage the balance between work and family life, and has the company supported you in that?
The shift-based schedule has been the biggest help. Being able to arrange my working days around my children’s school events or family plans makes a real difference day to day.
Over the past seven years I have also been hospitalized three times, and each time the team stepped in to make sure nothing fell through the cracks. The warmth and encouragement I received from colleagues during those periods genuinely gave me the energy to keep going. I do not take that kind of support for granted!
What keeps you engaged and motivated after seven years?
AJ InterBridge Inc. has kept growing, even through the COVID years, and new projects seem to bring fresh challenges constantly. Knowing that both I and the company are moving forward is, I think, the main reason I want to keep coming in. The work never stands still, and neither do I.

How would you describe the atmosphere in your team and workplace?
The HR team has a bright and cheerful feel to it. Because many of us work part-time, we are used to covering for each other when someone is away, and having great communication within the team is just part of how we operate.
The wider Administration department has grown a lot since I joined, but the people are warm and easy to be around. Sharing a break with colleagues from other departments and just chatting about whatever comes up is one of the small things I genuinely look forward to.
What would you say to someone who is hoping to balance work and family life the way you do?
Over the course of a long career, your children grow up, your family situation changes, and you change too. I think the key is staying flexible and approaching each stage with a positive mindset rather than feeling pulled in two directions. Instead of seeing work and family as competing with each other, finding a way to enjoy having both in your life might be what makes it sustainable over the long run.
What are you hoping to achieve going forward?
AJ InterBridge Inc. will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2029, and I would love to play a part in what that milestone looks like, even in a small way. I am also interested in taking on work outside of HR and labor management so that I can keep developing and bring something new to the team.
